Globally connected
Faculty, students and partners move between Southshore and the world.
Rooted in Africa, present in the world. The College is a node in a global network, not an island.
An education that prepares graduates for the next half-century cannot be parochial. The problems they will face — climate, capital, technology, governance, migration, health — do not respect borders, and neither will the careers they build.
Southshore is deliberately a globally connected institution. Faculty are appointed from and exchanged with leading universities on every continent. Students spend time abroad as a normal part of their degree, and visiting students from partner institutions are a normal part of campus life.
We are equally serious about bringing the world to Southshore. Visiting practitioners, joint research programmes, dual-degree partnerships and shared digital infrastructure mean that a student here is never more than a short step from the people, ideas and institutions shaping their field anywhere on earth.
