Faculty Boards
School-level boards that oversee programme development, student experience and academic operations within each faculty.
Purpose
Faculty Boards are the academic decision-making bodies at the faculty level, ensuring that programmes are delivered to the standards set by the Academic Board.
Key responsibilities
- Approve programme specifications, module changes and assessment plans within delegated authority.
- Monitor student progression, achievement and the National Student Survey outcomes.
- Review external examiner reports and oversee annual programme monitoring.
- Recommend new programmes and major changes to the Academic Board.
Composition
The Dean (Chair), Heads of Department, programme leads, professional service partners and student representatives from each programme.
Meets
At least three times per academic year.
