Admissions

Apply to a TALI graduate programme.

One application portal for every postgraduate programme. The TALI Graduate Admissions Office coordinates the process from enquiry to offer, working with the home School on academic suitability.

Taught programmes

PGD, MA, MSc, MBA and MPH applicants follow this route.

  1. 1Choose a programme from the TALI catalogue.
  2. 2Create an account on the Southshore application portal and complete the postgraduate application form.
  3. 3Upload transcripts, degree certificate, two referee reports, a 500–800-word personal statement and a CV.
  4. 4Pay the non-refundable application fee.
  5. 5Track your application; admission decisions are communicated within 4–6 weeks of a complete submission.

Research-track programmes

MPhil, PhD and Professional Doctorate candidates follow this route.

  1. 1Read the Research themes and identify a potential supervisor in the Faculty directory.
  2. 2Submit a concept note (MPhil: 1,500–2,500 words; PhD: 2,500–4,000 words) for theme-convenor review.
  3. 3If endorsed, submit a full proposal alongside the postgraduate application form.
  4. 4Attend an interview with the proposed supervisor and the Doctoral Committee.
  5. 5Receive a conditional or unconditional offer, accept, and register at the start of the next intake.

What we look for

  • Strong academic preparation in a cognate discipline.
  • A clear sense of why graduate study at Southshore — and at TALI specifically — matches your goals.
  • For research candidates: a feasible question, evidence you can frame and read a literature, and willingness to be supervised.
  • For executive candidates: substantive professional experience and the institutional access needed to do practice-embedded research.

Recognition of prior learning

Where a candidate has substantial professional accomplishment but lacks the conventional academic profile, the Board of Graduate Studies may approve admission on the basis of a recognition-of-prior-learning portfolio, in line with the Statutes.
