Scholarships, assistantships and sponsored study.
TALI does not let cost alone decide who studies here. A small portfolio of scholarships, an assistantship scheme and employer-sponsored places make graduate study possible for candidates of real promise.
Founder's Doctoral Scholarship
Up to four full-fee waivers awarded annually to outstanding PhD candidates whose research aligns with a TALI theme. Includes a modest stipend and conference allowance.
Dean's Master's Bursary
Partial fee remission (up to 30%) for high-performing applicants to taught master's programmes. Awarded on academic merit at admission.
Graduate Teaching Assistantships
MPhil and PhD candidates may apply for paid teaching assistantships in undergraduate modules. Limited number, allocated each semester by the Dean.
Employer-sponsored study
Employers may sponsor staff for executive programmes (DBA, MBA, MPH) under a tripartite agreement covering tuition, release time and a workplace research site.
How to apply for funding
Scholarships are awarded at the point of admission — there is no separate application form. Indicate on the postgraduate application that you wish to be considered, and submit a one-page funding statement explaining need and merit. Decisions are made by a Scholarships Sub-Committee of the Board of Graduate Studies.
Payment plans
Where a full scholarship is not awarded, the Bursar’s Office offers structured installment plans for postgraduate fees. Contact the Graduate Studies Office to set up a plan after admission.
External funding
Candidates are encouraged to apply for external scholarships (national research councils, denominational scholarships, employer programmes). The Graduate Studies Office maintains a list of current external opportunities and supports candidates with reference letters and verification documents.
