Mr Kwame Nkrumah-Boateng
Oversees the College's library and information services — curating collections, building digital resources, and supporting research and learning across the institution.
As University Librarian, Mr Nkrumah-Boateng leads the development and management of the College's library services, ensuring students and faculty have access to world-class information resources.
Biography
Mr Kwame Nkrumah-Boateng is a seasoned library and information-science professional with extensive experience in academic and research libraries. He has worked across higher-education institutions in West Africa, leading the modernisation of library services and the transition to digital and open-access resource platforms.
As University Librarian at Southshore, he oversees the curation and management of the College's collections, the development of digital repositories and research databases, and the delivery of information-literacy programmes that support teaching, learning and scholarship.
He is committed to building a library that serves not only the academic community but also the wider public through partnerships, outreach and the preservation of knowledge.
Key achievements
- Led the digitisation of the College's core collections and the launch of its institutional repository
- Established partnerships with international database providers for expanded journal and e-book access
- Designed information-literacy programmes adopted across all schools and postgraduate programmes
